Monday January 31st

Honors: Short stories due today! 5 page minimum. We will continue to have reading for homework in Of Mice and Men.

CP1: We are finishing Act 1 of Romeo and Juliet today. Queen Mab visuals are due today from 1.4. There is nearly nightly homework on each scene that we read. Wednesday we begin Act 2.

CP2: We are beginning Romeo and Juliet this week in class. We will study a mix of the original language and modern translation. There will be nearly nightly homework on each scene.

CP1: We are beginning to pre-read for Romeo and Juliet. Please continue to work on journals at home that are due Friday.

You will be given your monologue to memorize on Friday. You will have one week to rehearse your lines before our presentations on Monday the 24th.

Monday January 18th

Honors: This week we will begin out short story writing unit. You will choose your character, genre, and begin to formulate your plot cycle.

CP1: Your finalized journal in due on Friday the 21st. NO LATE journals will be accepted. No exceptions. If you can hand in your journal early, please by ALL means, do. I will have 50 journals to grade this weekend otherwise. Again, EARLY journals will be MUCH appreciated :):):):):)

CP2: We are finishing our final drafts of the Of Mice and Men paper in class today. I will ask you to revise it if it needs a lot of work to meet the standard. This week we will finish Of Mice and Men, discuss the moral implications behind the twist ending, and view the film.
